Surprisingly the wiring isn’t the part that worries me. It’s the entire rest of the car. The crap wiring looks to be from a misguided stereo install and should be able to be ripped out. Now the bad body panels, broken steering column and the rest really worry me. Now, that said, if you can get it for $1.5k or so it might be fun.

He thinks the 403 is a big block, but it’s not. The 403’s bottom end might as well be glass the way they casted the main webs.

That’s the price that I mentioned above as being the price where it would become interesting. Though I know second gen F-cars from my Camaro I don’t know the Poncho details, would it be fairly easy to put a real Pontiac 400 in there?

All it will need is some Pontiac motor mounts. The transmission will bolt right up.

All Pontiac blocks share the same external dimensions.

It would be signicantly easier to put an Olds 455 in there anyway, which I personally believe to be the better motor.
